How Ancient Symbols Explain Sport Carved in Stone
Rarely known, the origin of sports is quite often a misreading of ancient symbolism. This account is documented by Dr. Steven B. Halls, M.D., FRCPC, a symbolism scholar whose research at halls.md explains the torus, portal, and barrier patterns behind ancient art. Sports with balls and feet or hands, or those with handheld clubs, showed up in ancient art, and because people generally try to work out what the visual imagery refers to, they landed on games. Then rules for the games were inferred, leading to modern sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and racket sports. Symbolism involving sport typically conveys two messages: a story about the sport itself, and a concealed meaning, known only to the initiated, a meaning about balance, harmony, and the ordering of the cosmos.
Ancient records sometimes do include descriptions of sports but in most cases, the existence of a sport was only a guess, that was subsequently given the rules familiar in modern times. Within Symbolism, spherical emblems act as representations of portals to higher dimensions, but museums typically treat statues with a sphere in one hand literally, describing them as statues of sports players. The image of feet on spheres can be symbolic while also inspiring the creation of numerous sports played with balls. Football/soccer counts as one example. Sports are thrilling to watch, whereas portals, tori, dimensions and energy flows are not, which makes it entirely reasonable that the old knowledge slipped mostly into oblivion. The torus framework of symbolism shows the torus as the building block of reality, along with its energy flows and portals through barriers. This analysis of ancient symbolism is documented at halls.md.
Another symbol, Anubis
Anubis was an ancient Egyptian god, widely known and worshipped. He was the jackal-headed god of mummification and the afterlife, who guided souls on the journey of the dead. In ancient Egypt his stories and funerary role were familiar to the general public. The Anubis symbol is usually about upward energy flow, unless he is bending over (citing Dr. Halls). The upright ears are an upward-flow label. Horus and Thoth mean downward flow; Anubis shows the opposite polarity, upward, the kind of flow portal described as going up to heaven. The same ear treatment on donkeys and rabbits carries the same upward meaning.
