BUF Newcastle is part of Australia's most popular group training community, just for women. Being a BUF Girl isn't about competition, body image or comparison, it's about friendship and community, healthy bodies and healthy minds, and inspiring, supporting and celebrating each other. We're on a mission to help you fall in love with fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. We have sessions across Newcastle and Warners Bay. What kind of training do we do?


    Get your punch on with our fitness boosting boxing classes - one of the funnest ways to get your cardio fix while toning the upper body, defining your abs and boosting cardio fitness. There are different sessions focusing on technique, cardio conditioning and HIIT training - Boxing Tabata sessions are a favourite!


    Our Signature, full body toning sessions are designed to enhance all a girl's best assets! You’ll burn fat and build long, lean muscle as you work through this totally BUF workout.
    Section #1 - (B)eautiful will be a strength and toning circuit, always touching on the Bottom Half, Upper Half & Abs.
    Section #2 - (U)nstoppable will be a cardio and plyo bodyweight set at high intensity, including running, skipping as well as any plyometric moves.
    Section #3 - (F)earless will be a goal-based challenge to round out the workout. It will either be strength or cardio, or even a core challenge. We shake up the moves and structure every week to keep your body guessing and the results coming.


    This class starts off slower in pace working through compound and functional movement patterns - chosen and designed to shape the female body.Think slower, controlled movements for maximum metabolic disturbance, lean muscle and strength gains. With a burst of cardio to to get your heart rate up at the end!.


    This seriously satisfying workout combines plyometrics, strength and high intensity cardio, in a pyramid-style workout that builds strength, ensures maximum fat burn and works to increase athletic performance. We start with a plyometric (jumping/pulsing) move to fire your muscles up, move into a strength sequence to get your body using energy effectively, then take things next level with a high cardio peak, before repeating the strength and plyometric sections. Yep, this workout ticks all the boxes. This kind of training fast-tracks fitness gains and blasts fat fast.

Tone up and slim down in the great outdoors! We have babysitters to watch your little ones while you do it, introducing them to an active lifestyle right from the start!

    Stretch and Release is a great way to improve and increase your range of motion which helps improve your flexibility and strength, it allows your body to recover faster... which means yep, you guessed it! You can work harder and smash your goals in your next BUF sesh even sooner! The mental benefits are just as significant as the deep breathing this class encourages is our bodies most primal way to reduce stress.

Where do we train?


Spring/Summer - on the Sand - You'll find us on the sand near in front of the cafe.
Autumn/Winter - on the Promenade - You'll find us down the bottom of the big car park at bar beach. There is a platform overlooking the beach, near the picnic tables and chairs!


You'll find us in Connolly Park near the tennis courts and kids play area!


You’ll find our BUF Mums classes in the top bowl area where the Christmas Carols are held.


Autumn/Winter - on Merewether Promenade: Our early morning and 6pm sessions are held to the left of Merewether Surfhouse (if you're looking out to sea) in the semi circle area on the promenade near the bike racks!

Spring/Summer – on Merewether Beach: For our morning sessions, you’ll find us on Merewether Beach, just in front and to the left of Blue Door Cafe.


You’ll find us down on the sand, in front of the dunes. In Winter, we train on the grassed area in front of the beach.



If you're driving along the esplanade, past the strip of cafes, we are just past the roundabout. Park in the first car park to your left! We will be set up to the right of that car park if you're looking out to the lake!


BUF Mums meet at the park next to Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre. There is a kids playground in the same park, we’re on the grass area next to that!

We also have sessions in Lake Macquarie.



Casual classes are valid for 3 months. Get started with our intro offer of $10 for your first week.
